Alfren is a Queer Vietnamese, Chinese-American artist based in Austin, Texas.

Their art explores many mediums: printmaking, photography, digital illustrations to machine-free tattoos. They use traditional art forms to document their journey as they navigate the intersections of their identity.

Currently, Alfren uses machine-free tattoos to form an intimate space of shared experiences and with the help of others they record those moments; skin and needle, dot-by-dot. Their tattoo work focuses on the reconnection to oneself while connecting with others.
